At KIN BALAM, we donate 5% of all our sales directly to our Indigenous communities in Mexico.

Not only are we part of a production chain that supports producers and their ancestral methods with fair and well-paid compensation, but we also return a portion of total sales to projects that rescue our indigenous communities.

After extensive research by various NGOs, we decided to join forces with PRO MÉXICO INDÍGENA due to their strong leadership, track record, and, above all, RESULTS.

Cocoa, a forgotten sacred seed:

Mexico—and particularly Tabasco and Chiapas—was the birthplace of cocoa, but paradoxically, today we import more than we grow. The seed that was once currency and an offering has been displaced by the abandonment of policies, practices, ancestral value, and a loss of connection with the land.

While the global market demands tons of increasingly lower-cost industrial cocoa, Mexico preserves criollo cocoas of pure lineage that, if we forget them, will disappear. Supporting this REBIRTH is not just a business: it is a way to preserve a biocultural heritage.

KIN BALAM was born as an act of remembrance. We are a tribute, an offering to the land that still breathes beneath Comalcalco, Tabasco.
